Biography
Beezy (born Benson Benjamin Mokiwa in Mlalo, Tanzania, 1987) tried his first attempts in music at the age of eight – without success, though. Aged 11, Beezy moves to Germany with his mother, and it is here where he starts to occupy himself more and more with music.
In 2005 his involvement in a school project makes him visit a professional sound studio for the first time – and he gives proof of his competence as a rapper. Here he records more songs, develops more and more and gets into contact with popular rappers of the region.
He gains some popularity with the release if his first single 'When We Ride' as well as a good number of live performances in Germany.
2009 Beezy is finally back in his home country. Thanks to the support of several local artists he is about to take over the East African markets. In his second single 'They don't Wanna See' he features CPWaa, Crank legend from Dar es Salaam. 'Get Out!' is his third single released in Tanzania.
Beezy's fans in Tanzania are looking forwars especially for his first live performances ever during his tour in Tanzania this September 2009. In the near future he is about to release additional singles featuring more Tanzania artists, including Makamua and Professa Jay.
